“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Romans 8:28 doesn’t say that everything that happens is good. It says that God can work all things together for good.
There will be seasons when life doesn’t make sense. You may experience disappointment, delays, closed doors, broken relationships, financial struggles, or moments when you wonder, “God, why am I going through this?”
But God sees what we cannot see.
A difficult season may be developing your character. A closed door may be protecting you from something you don’t yet understand. A delay may be preparing you for something greater. Even your mistakes can become opportunities for God to teach, restore, and transform you.
The promise isn’t that we will understand everything. The promise is that God is still working.
Your current situation is not the end of your story.
REFLECTION:
Ask yourself:
– What situation am I struggling to understand right now?
– Am I trusting God even though I can’t see the outcome?
– What might God be teaching me through this season?
– Can I surrender my plans and trust His purpose?
You may not understand what God is doing right now, but you can trust that He is not wasting your experience. God is still working. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep walking.
LET US PRAY!
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for reminding us that You are working even when we cannot see what You are doing. Help us not to judge our future by what we’re experiencing today. Give us patience when we face delays, faith when we face uncertainty, and strength when life becomes difficult. Teach us to trust Your purpose even when we don’t understand Your process. Take the things that have hurt us, disappointed us, or confused us, and use them for Your glory and for our good.
Help us remember that our stories are still being written by You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
